DIY Laundry Room Hanging Storage
Sometimes it's the little things that are the most annoying because they have no place to go, and then they are the most awesome because the solution becomes so simple.
In the process of my laundry room redo I was stumped where to put the accessories that previously resided several rooms over because there was storage within this space. Could they hang?
2 Dollar Tree medium canvas bags turned out to be the perfect size. But really pink, with all my new paint and intentional black and white?
So I began tweaking... Let's do the tweak!
Find a picture with a nice resolution (over 300 dpi) to print. Resize to fit the front of the bag.
Print on Inkjet T-shirt heat transfer, cut any excess transfer to eliminate the white border.
Insert a piece of cardboard inside the bag to keep any bleeding or melting the fabric together.
Install transfer per manufactures instruction.
This becomes your front pocket, so cut the handles from this bag.
Also cut only 1 handle from your other bag.
Measure 5 inches down from the top of upper bag (1 handle bag) Add hot glue in small squeezes, but thoroughly covering from the 5 inch mark to the bottom.
Place your lower front pocket (with picture) on top of glue.
You now have two pockets with 1 handle for hanging.
Use your favorite fabric or craft paint to paint. Take extra time covering down the seams on the sides.
Happy Tweaking...
